MP3 to video turns a song, podcast episode or recording into an MP4 you can post on YouTube: choose the audio file, add a picture if you like, press Make the video, then Save the MP4. Pick Wide, 16:9 for YouTube or Square, 1:1 for a square post. Without a picture, the video shows the file's name in white on a dark background, and you can change the words before you make it. MP3, M4A, WAV and AAC files work in every browser the page runs in, and OGG, Opus and FLAC files where the browser can play their sound. Apple Lossless files don't open here. Your files never leave your device.
Questions
Is this MP3 to video converter free?
Yes, with no sign-up and no watermark.
Does it work on my phone?
Yes, in Chrome on Android and Safari on iPhone: choose the audio from your phone, add a photo from your gallery if you want one, and save the MP4. If the browser can't make video files, the page tells you as soon as it opens.
Can I use my own picture?
Yes. Press Add a picture and choose a photo or image: the whole picture is shown, as large as the shape allows, with dark bars where it doesn't fill the frame. Without one, the video shows its title, which starts as the file's name and can be changed. If a picture can't be opened, such as a HEIC photo in Chrome, the page says so; JPEG and PNG pictures work in every browser.
Will YouTube accept it?
Yes. It's a standard MP4, which YouTube takes like any other video, and the picture stays on screen for as long as the sound plays.
How long can the audio be?
No limit is set. An hour of audio makes an MP4 of about 85 MB with the title on screen, and up to about 300 MB with a detailed photo. On a computer, an hour takes a few minutes to make. A very long recording can be more than some phones can handle; if one stops part way, try it on a computer.
