Questions
Is this speech to text free?
Yes, and there's no account to make. Live mode costs nothing at all. Record mode uses the free daily minutes, the same as transcribing an audio file.
Which browsers does live mode work in?
Chrome, Edge and Safari. Firefox doesn't support it, so the page opens Record mode there instead.
Can it transcribe a conversation in the room?
Yes. Use Record mode and put the phone or laptop near the people talking. You get every word in order, without speaker names.
Which languages does it understand?
Live mode lets you pick from over 30 common languages. Record mode detects the spoken language by itself, in close to a hundred languages.
