This video summarizer works from what's said: drop a video or an audio recording, or paste a link from YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Vimeo, Loom and the other sites the link box takes. You get three to five sentences and up to 8 key points, each with the time it comes up, above the full transcript. The summary is in the language the video is spoken in, or in another one you pick. A YouTube video with captions is quicker and uses none of your minutes.

Questions

Can I summarize a lecture or a meeting recording?

Yes. Drop the recording, a video or an audio file such as MP4, MOV, MP3 or M4A, and the summary appears when it's ready. Zoom, Teams and Google Meet recordings work as they are, and Zoom transcription says where Zoom saves yours.

Does it look at what's on screen?

No. It summarizes what's said, so slides, on-screen text and silent scenes don't reach the summary. A video with no speech has nothing to summarize.

YouTube, TikTok, Instagram, Facebook and X, plus Vimeo, Twitch, Loom, Dailymotion and LinkedIn. The video has to be public.

How long can the video be?

Up to 90 minutes, and for a file, its audio has to fit in 95 MB. The key points can come from any part of the video, not only the start.

Is it free?

Yes, with no account. A video uses the free 90 minutes a day, one for each minute of video, unless it's a YouTube video with captions, which uses none. The same video asked for again comes back at once.
