SRT generator
This SRT generator creates an SRT file from a video or audio recording: the speech is transcribed and saved as timed subtitles.
Transcription is free within your daily minutes
It uses your free daily minutes, and you confirm before it starts. A subtitle file dropped here is converted instead.

Read as — change it
The preview below re-renders as soon as you change this.
This format stores times as frame numbers, so it has no meaning without a rate. We don't guess one.

Choose EUC-KR if an older TV or player shows broken Korean characters. EUC-KR can't hold some characters, like emoji, and you'll see how many before you download.
An SRT file is plain text: a number, a start and end time, and the words for each subtitle. Writing one by hand means pausing the video every few seconds. Drop the video or audio here instead. The whole file gets written for you, ready to check and adjust with the other tools on this site.
Questions
How do I create an SRT file?
Drop your video or audio above and download the result as SRT. To write one by hand, use this layout for each subtitle: a number, then a line like 00:00:01,000 --> 00:00:04,000, then the text, then a blank line.
Can I create an SRT from a script I already have?
Yes. Save the script as a .txt and use TXT to SRT. The timings are estimated from reading speed, so expect to adjust them.
Which files can I use?
Video: MP4, MOV, MKV, WebM and M4V. Audio: MP3, M4A, WAV, AAC, OGG, FLAC and Opus.
