Translate English to Japanese audio from an interview, a lesson or a video, and get the Japanese in kanji and kana as text or subtitles. Drop the file or press Record to start. Each Japanese line keeps the timing of the English line it came from, so the subtitles stay in sync. Japanese is written without spaces between words, and the SRT and VTT files are saved as UTF-8, which modern players read.
Questions
How accurate is the Japanese?
Good for everyday speech. Polite forms, names and specialist terms are the places to check, and for anything you publish, ask a Japanese speaker to read it first.
Can I download the English as well?
Yes. The transcript page has an English tab beside the Japanese one, and both download as TXT, SRT, VTT, Word or PDF.
Is it free?
Yes, with no account. It uses the free 90 minutes a day, one for each minute of audio. A file can run to 90 minutes, with the audio under 95 MB.
