This file's own styles are used: sizes, colours, outlines, bold and italic, alignment, margins and positions. Animations, karaoke, rotation and clipping are drawn without their effect.
Making the video: 0%. Keep this tab open.
Hardcoded subtitles can't be switched off, and that's the point. They survive re-uploads, social apps and players that ignore subtitle files. Drop your video and subtitle file and you get a new MP4 with the captions in the picture, and the video never leaves your computer. ASS colours, sizes and positions are kept; animated effects such as karaoke are drawn as still text.
Questions
How do I hardcode subtitles into an MP4?
Drop the MP4 and the subtitle file above, check the preview, and save. The new file has the subtitles drawn into every frame.
What's the difference between burned-in and soft subtitles?
Soft subtitles are a separate track or file the viewer can turn off. Burned-in ones are part of the picture and always show.
Is my video uploaded?
No. The video never leaves your computer.
How long does it take?
It depends on your computer and the length of the video. A progress bar shows how far it's got.
